Since 1989, by mutual contractual agreement, we
at Midwest Laboratories Canada, have been independently affiliated with Midwest
Laboratories Inc. of Omaha, Nebraska. In 1996, Midwest Laboratories Canada, a
wholly owned Canadian company, relocated to our current expanded facilities at

We are entering our 15th year of business, continuing to experience dramatic growth and are dedicated to providing quality analytical services at reasonable prices and quick turn-around times. We strive to give our customers a wealth of information and technical assistance.
Midwest Laboratories offers agricultural & environmental analytical services. These services include testing: soil, plant tissue, water, food, fertilizer, biosolids and waste. The analytical capabilities encompass chemical and bacteriological sampling and testing.
Analyses are performed using widely accepted EPA, Standard Methods, FDA, ASTM, or ASA methodologies. State of the Art equipment, skilled and experienced operators, and a very stringent quality assurance/quality control program ensure data validity and enable Midwest to provide cost competitive and timely analytical service.
QA/QC Program
Midwest has devised a thorough QA plan featuring a rigorous QC program supported by an experienced and dedicated analytical team. Each analytical run is performed with a full compliment of QC samples such as replicates, spikes, standards, blanks and check samples. The specific assignment of QC samples to an analytical batch is dictated by the method but in any case never falls below 5% of the billable samples in a run. QC criteria for each method/analyses are tabulated in the governing SOP and failure of one QC sample signals interruption of the analytical run. Failure to correct the problem with expenditure of reasonable time and effort results in an abort of the run and a reanalysis using a complete set of new samples.
Upon conclusion of a successful run all data is reviewed by the laboratory supervisor who holds authority to approve or reject data based on QC criteria and personal evaluation of raw data.
Finally, the deliverable is signed by a representative who serves as the first contact person for queries from clients regarding report data. The lab maintains a complete record of all supporting QC data for each report item. This QC data can be reported on request at an additional cost.
The aim of this program is simple: To provide error-free, sustainable, analytical data of precision and accuracy, governed solely by instrumental limitations.
Accreditation
Midwest Laboratory holds accreditation from the states of Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa, Wisconsin, Kansas, Minnesota, and Idaho. The laboratory is a regular participant in a number of state, federal, and custom performance audit programs. The laboratory has a history of excellent performance on these sample analyses and provide verification upon request.
General
Midwest Laboratories Canada is certified by the National Forage Testing Association for protein, ADF, NDF, moisture and minerals. Analyses are performed using widely accepted AOAC or NFTA methodologies.
